    Reds

Red is the new black. Deep velvety vermillion red hair at Marc Jacobs as seen on model Natalie Westling and flame red hair pieces to complement and contrast at Versace worn by Kiki Willems complemented the clothes. Golden spun reds with a softer natural feel to complete cool skins and the nude palettes at Moschino. See model Roos Abels for inspiration. With bronze and  metalics still a huge trend deeper bronze seen at Edeline Lee is a really commercial red shade to go for if clients are looking to have their reds updated. For celebrity inspiration think Emma Stone and Jessica Chastain.

    Blondes

Blonde hair is a major trend this coming season, with a number of fashion inspired looks to inspire and suit you. Ultra grunge inspired by 90s kurt  Cobain peroxide blonde is emerging from street fashion seen on the catwalk in Kanye west Yeezy collection championed by celebrities such as Sophia Ritchie and Haley Baldwin.
Continuing with the 90s Versace showcased new wave neon hair contrasting white blondes and pillar box red panelling through the lengths and ends. For a more glamorous look  blondes were a massive trend at Julien MacDonald. While nude was the theme in the clothes and hair. Pale shades of oyster and pearl and barley popular at Bottega Veneta.

    Brunettes

Sleek cascading lengths of darkest raven coloured hair is the go to shade and styling opted for by Kim Kardashian and Naomi Campbell.
This colour trend is ultra-glamorous or can be interpreted to suit edgier clients looking for more gothic inspired hair as seen on Mariacarla Boscono and Bella Hadid at Versace. Chocolate, rich mahogany and cognac brunettes with a hark to a more vintage 70s feel worn with texture and layering at TOM FORD. For inspiration look to Kendall Jenner

    THE ALEXA

Mid length burnt brunette is without a doubt here to stay. Wanting something with texture and movement and an undone feel? This style is a modern twist for the dreaded Mullet. Alexa Chung is synonymous with this vibe. Out of bed and uncontrived. This season keep layers shorter but with length and a shorter chewy fringe, taking inspiration from influential models Grace Hartzel on the Dior Autumn Winter 17 and Marjan Jonkman for Alexander Wang A/W17

    THE BOB

A timeless style that always makes a statement, working with below jaw length and strong statement fringe, this style is fierce and means business, a tone set by one ancient Egyptian ruler Cleopatra. Also worn by Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction, showing that this strong style can still have that sexy feel, finished with high shine raven onyx tones. This season take inspiration from Charlee Fraser on catwalks such as Chloe and Marni Autumn/Winter 2017.

    THE BEACH

A fashion staple, the centre parting is without doubt here to stay. Taking beach blondes to the catwalk, this look is seen the world over, commonly referred to as “festival hair”. Keep up to date this season with  the layers slightly longer to give a more bohemian feel of not too tailored and styled. Rosie Huntington-Whitley is the epitome of this sexy cool look.

    THE VAMP

Fringes are a quick way to transform your look, for girls wanting a to make a statement with minimal disruption to length, what better way then a face framing fuller fringe. Take inspiration from actress Rooney Mara’s blue black to show how an above the eyebrow fringe can still be classy and elegant. Former model and Hermes muse Jane Burkin is a good example of how this look can be soft yet dramatic, timeless and effortless.

    THE MIDI

Stand out from the crowd with this rock star - esque Debbie Harry blonde inspired mid length look. Based on a long bob with added texture in the layers and a longer sexy side sweep, this look is a real head turner. Still relevant this season Tom Fords s/s15 looks illustrates this to perfectly. Super model Cara Delavigne transformed her look with her own version of this bleached rock chic look.

    THE FLOW

A new wave of celebrities taking the plunge and going for the chop. Look at pop star Katy Perry with a longer top and shorter sides but still with a softer edge. Generally hair at the moment has a grown out frayed feel, so even on shorter styles work with the hair not being too done and fresh. Actress Tilda Swinton is always a good advocate for shorter lengths. Keep the sides and back to a textured length, adding rose gold tones to keep softness and a long sweeping fringe for a sexy feel, that isn’t too exposed. Look towards models Karly Kloss and Sarah Frazer on the Saint Laurent Autumn Winter catwalk for inspiration.

    THE GIGI

Big hair, don’t care. For girls that want to indulge themselves in a West End Glam look, Gigi Hadid is the ultimate in sexy glam. Worn in a side parting keep this look up to date by keeping the curls softer and undone, and the layers longer to give a modern feel on the new blonde bombshell.
