COVID-19 Re-opening plan
We hope you are keeping safe and well. It has been over two months since our closure and after the most recent announcement from Boris Johnson, we are working towards a re-opening date of 4th July.
During these last two months we have spent our time planning carefully, creating strict health and safety measures to ensure we create the safest of environments for both our team members and our clients.
We wanted to communicate some of our plans to you so that you can gain an understanding of the changes we have made to your future salon visit:
PPE & HEALTH & SAFETY
- Whatever the government guidelines state, we will be making sure that we follow every single measure to ensure our salons are as safe and secure as possible for our teams and our clients to return to.
- We have already sourced PPE so that we are as prepared as possible for when the government health and safety guidelines are released.
- Once we have been given confirmation as to the necessary PPE required, we will be emailing our clients with an update so that they can have a greater understanding of the PPE that we will have in place.
- Refreshments will not be being served and the removal of magazines will be implemented as part of our health and safety measures.
PRIORITISING APPOINTMENT BOOKINGS
- Client appointments will be prioritised by scheduling in our clients that had an appointment booked in before lockdown.
- We will be prioritising cut and colour appointments first and are aiming to schedule these appointments up to two weeks before we reopen.
- All standing blow dry appointments will be kept in and the appointment times may need to be changed accordingly.
- Our on the day £20 blow dry service will still be available and subject to availability.
- Once we have scheduled all prioritised clients we will then be opening up our booking system to all other clients.
MAKING YOUR APPOINTMENT
- We request that clients phone ahead and pre-book their appointment in advance.
- The minimum appointment time for a cut and blow dry service will be 1 hour to enable us to clean and sanitise each section thoroughly before the next client.
- Signage will be placed in the window/door that states ‘PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE SALON IF THERE IS ONE OR MORE PEOPLE NEAR THE RECEPTION DESK’.
- If a client would like to make an appointment when they are walking by, they will need to wait until the reception area is clear before entering the salon.
- Colour clients will receive a thorough consultation over the phone prior to their appointment, to identify the length of time that needs allocating for their appointment and to also ensure they are booked in for the correct service.
- We will be recommending Olaplex to every colour client to try and protect and restore the condition of their hair after not being able to have this service for a minimum of 14 weeks or longer.
- Initially conditioning treatments will not be being offered as a service in the salon to reduce the number of people at our backwash area. We will be recommending the correct homecare regime tailored to your hair’s individual needs, to ensure you can look after your hair at home in the best way possible.
ARRIVING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
- Our waiting areas will not be in use as we need to reduce the number of people in the salon as best we can.
- Clients will need to wait outside of the salon, or in their car or a nearby coffee shop. Front of house will call the client to let them know when they can enter the salon for their appointment.
- Clients need to arrive alone and can no longer bring their children, friends or husband with them.
- If a client arrives with a coat or jacket they will be asked to keep hold of this themselves as we will not be hanging these to begin with.
MAKING YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT
- Rebooking your next appointment before leaving the salon is ESSENTIAL. We cannot guarantee a future appointment for any client unless they have rebooked in advance.
- Your stylist and/or colourist will advise you to rebook within a time frame that is realistic but ensures your hair is always looking great.
We are now able to offer our retail delivery service to you again. If you would like to purchase retail products from us that includes complimentary postage and packaging, please email our Operations manager Lisa lisa@hobsalons.com who will try to accommodate all of your requirements. Retail products are subject to availability and do not include any colour products.
Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to say that we are counting down the days until we can re-open and we miss all of our clients immensely. Please stay strong and refrain from colouring or cutting your own hair. We will be back to making you look and feel great very soon and will be sending you another update in due course.
Please continue to keep well.
With our warmest wishes,
Akin, Clive and Paul
