HOB SALONS Scoops two awards at the Wella Professionals International Trend Vision Award 2011 Event in New York City

The 2011 Wella Professionals’ International Trend Vision Award (ITVA) culminated in spectacular fashion on Sunday, October 30th, as 85 finalists from 49 countries assembled in New York to compete for the coveted Young Talent and Color Awards, celebrating hairdressing talent from all over the world.

Jake Unger from HOB Salons started the celebrations by being crowned with the ‘People’s Choice Award’ as judging opened to an online audience with over 60,000 votes flooding in as the competition was broadcasted live through the internet. Continuing HOB’s success on the night, Jake went on to be announced as the prestigious Young Talent Gold Award winner, making this the second time HOB Salons and the UK have won the Gold Award. In 2008 HOB Salons picked up the Color Award at the International Trend Vision Award in Lisbon.

"We are incredibly proud of Jake who has worked tirelessly and deserves to win both of these awards. At HOB Salons we are dedicated in supporting and guiding every individual to reach their goal and winning the Wella Professionals International Trend Vision Award in New York was a proud moment for the whole company." Clive Collins, HOB Salons

Having trained and qualified with HOB Salons, Jake has been with the award-winning company for 5 years, now running a busy salon column at the flagship Camden branch whilst also cementing his role as part of the HOB Education Team. Working with Assistants at the newly launched HOB Assistant Academy, through to training and educating salon teams to ensure the highest level of service and hairdressing is maintained company wide, Jake is quickly establishing himself as 'one to watch'.

"The Trend Vision Award continues to evolve and push the boundaries of hairdressing talent to the limits. To win Gold at the International Final is a huge achievement and to then be recognised by the public by scooping the People’s Choice really proves that HOB Salons and the UK have the winning formula." Sheila Jackson, Partnership Service Manager, P&G Salon Professional
