HAIRraising LAUNCH DAY FOR NEW AMERSHAM SALON

HOB Salons officially opened a new salon in Amersham this week and donated all proceeds from the launch day to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, raising over £1,500 for the cause.

Franchisee May Bukauskiene and her team at HOB demonstrated their charitable spirit to the Amersham community as they worked their styling magic on clients, all in the name of HAIRraising - a fundraising appeal led by hair legend John Frieda with the aim of raising over £1 million towards new operating theatres at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Amongst those lending their support was 18 year-old Flora Edward-Few, a Chesham resident and life-long Great Ormond Street Hospital patient. Both Flora and her mother Hennie enjoyed an afternoon of pampering at the salon, whilst showing their support for the cause.

Cystic Fibrosis patient Flora said, 'Great Ormond Street has helped me so greatly in being able to live my life to as normal a degree as possible, so it was fantastic to support HOB Amersham in their fundraising day for the hospital. My brilliant new cut and style made me feel like a movie star and I am so pleased that the event has raised both awareness and funds for the HAIRraising appeal.'
