Wella TrendVision Tour 2019

This week saw the culmination of the Wella Creative Remix event tour, which once again featured an awe-inspiring show by the HOB Academy Creative Team. Akin, Jake, Ian, Nestor and Sean created their usual special brand of creative magic for the TrendVision catwalk, presenting 8 models in a choreographed show followed by commentary on how their vision was brought to life, at a string of regional finals nights including Glasgow, Manchester, London and Nottingham.

Also taking centre stage on Monday night were our own HOB Salons Camden competitors Carlo and Frazer, who were competing in the London regional final ‘Creative Artist’ category having qualified via the first round photographic stage.

This year’s London final took place at the De Vere Grand Connought Rooms, with the evening also including Colour Artist and Male Grooming regional finals, alongside shows from D&J Ambrose Art Team and DNA Artspace.

Both Carlo and Frazer created outstanding entries for the night and certainly did their salon proud. Carlo said of the competition, “Trend Vision acts as a creative hub for hairdressers to really push the “norm” of hairdressing. It’s a place where you can showcase the extreme of the craft, with barely any restriction.”
Frazer added “I had a wonderful time competing. The experience was fantastic! The most important thing for me was being able to be myself”.

The London regional final was also marked as a remembrance and celebration evening for our beloved colour genius, Sean Nolan, following his sudden and tragic passing the week prior. All models in the HOB Academy show had been coloured by Sean the week before, and over his HOB career he had played an instrumental role in developing and progressing the colour department and vision. Sean will be painfully missed by the whole industry.
